SportsNew Raptors Brown, Nwora and Lewis Ready For Battle Against Bulls

New Toronto Raptors Bruce Brown, Jordan Nwora and Kira Lewis Jr. are cleared and available to play versus the Chicago Bulls on Thursday night, head coach Darko Rajakovic announced pre-game.

The Raptors will be without Jakob Poeltl (ankle sprain), Otto Porter Jr. (knee sprain) and Markquis Nowell (two-way) will not take to the court. Sportsnet’s Blake Murphy believes “everybody else is, theoretically, available.”

The Bulls have ruled out Lonzo Ball, Onuralp Bitim, Torrey Craig, Henri Drell, Julian Phillips and Adama Sanogo. Patrick Williams is uncertain, while Dalen Terry, Andre Drummond and Ayo Dosunmu are likely to play. Former Raptor DeMar DeRozan will also return to Scotiabank Arena.

Chicago, sitting ninth in the Eastern Conference, enters Thursday’s game with a 19-23 record in their first 42 games. Toronto is currently twelfth in the Eastern Conference with a 16-25 record in their first 41 games.

The game begins at 7:30 p.m. ET. Watch the action on Sportsnet and Sportsnet+.

Brown, Nwora and Lewis joined the Raptors on Wednesday as part of the return package when Pascal Siakam was traded to the Indiana Pacers.

It’s unclear how many minutes the three new faces will play as they get up to speed with the team’s systems.
